AS400 RPG Developer

Job Description:

Required Skill Set:

• Exp : 6-7 years
• CTC: 20-22 LPA
• Job Type: Permanent
• Job location: Pune (Magarpatta City) / Gurgaon
• Shift: Mid ( 11 am – 8pm)
• Working days: 5 day

Key Responsibilities
• Required to have an understanding to gather user requirements, author user design documents, and develop technical design documents.
• Required to have an understanding to develop a quality assurance and formal test plan.
• Complete familiarity with Microsoft products; Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook is required.
• Program enhancement on Development system (AS400)
• Build and maintain CLLE, RPGLE programs, familiarity with screen design aid
• Should be able to work and implement changes to operation documents and production system to improve efficiencies
• Will be extensively taking part in creation, implementation, and support of systems based on defined user and corporate needs to improve productivity

Technical expertise:
• iSeries technical skills: RPG/400, RPGLE – ILE, Fixed/Free format RPG, SQL and CLLE programming.
• Knowledge of PF, LF, DFU, screen design.
• Knowledge on EDI, Legal domain is added advantage.
• internal and external database files, Query/400, DB2/400
• Working knowledge of FTP, SFTP and Stream Files is important

Other skills:
• Knowledge and understanding of AS400 operations.
Minimum 7-year experience operating AS400. Understanding of DB2 database structure. Knowledge of RPGLE programming.

Personal skills:
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and well organized.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Must be open to on call responsibilities.
• Having the ability to work with members of other departments in both a team and one-on-one role is also required.
